Photographer Katya Alagich lives and works in Moscow. The peculiarity of her visual language is a painterly work with reflections and double exposure, which makes it difficult to guess the exact place in which the shot was taken. Architectural education and constant artistic practice formed the basis of creativity. Working with geometry and space, studying textures and patterns, exploring light and shadow. Sensual perception of the surrounding world influenced both the appearance of the works and their meanings. Through photography, Katya gives shape to those states, emotions and values that a person often feels, but cannot convey in words. Katya thoughtfully observes the world around her and explores the themes of nostalgia and inner freedom. Bringing untold stories to the surface of the frames, she immerses the viewer in her own memories and inner silence.
